Hagtex considers Sustainable Development to be an urgent requirement in production and business, especially meaningful when Hagtex is in the process of integrating into the global textile supply chain and in response to the call from Vietnam Business Forum for Sustainable Development. Hagtex believes that Sustainable Development and Effective Business must go hand in hand. This thought is shown throughout through Hagtex's application of 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) of the United Nations as a guideline for its activities, of which 3 main goals are directed:
- Goal 6-Clean water and sanitation
- Goal 8-Decent economic growth and jobs
- Goal 12-Responsible consumption and production.
Hagtex acts quickly, decisively and consistently to minimize the negative impact on the environment in the production process. We choose suppliers of Yarn using BCI Cotton (Better Cotton Initiatives), Oeko-Tex® 100 Certified Yarn, in particular, only select dye and chemical suppliers with a policy and is strongly committed to SDG or has been recognized as a responsible producer. In addition, Hagtex gives top priority to the goal of building and applying the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System to all production activities. We will complete the ISO 14001:2015 certificate in April 2021. Other certificates, depending on the specific requirements of each customer, Hagtex will plan to apply.
